An accidental Winter Camp beverage, members consumed this at Winter Camp I when they drank from a large jug which they had discovered in Clearwater. It was only later that they discovered the remains of an average-sized field mouse (which oral tradition and questionable journalistic license have inflated to "a large dead rat") in the jug. On the plus side, Doug Wilson has reported very little illness since. For years following, anyone who complained of any malady was offered the suggestion that he "drink some rat water" or "needed more rat water". (SD)
