Despite outward appearances, it was the IWS who was officially in control at Winter Camp VIII. The approval of the Korish was explicitly delegated to this organization. The IWS was founded in 1984 as a band of three Arrowmen dedicated to the philosophical works of Cyrus Reed Teed and his proposition that the Earth is really on the inside of a hollow sphere. Teed's model of the Earth draws heavily on inversive geometry. Jeff Rand has written an IWS induction ceremony which pays particular homage to the circle, but it has yet to be performed at Winter Camp.
