"Xanthine" means yellow-colored, and this artful dodge was used in the first Alphabetic Banquet at Winter Camp IV The actual beverage served was Mountain Dew-this was in 1980, before Mountain Dew attained its current popularity both inside and outside Winter Camp, thus it was a slightly exotic beverage. At the second Alphabetic Banquet three years later, "X-Drink" was the less-interesting choice for X. (SD)
