Current Entry: Brownsea Island Games (Part 1)
At Winter Camp XXX, this event provided the second part of the Pirates of Brownsea Island theme. Following the Shipwrecked! event, campers arrived at the Ordeal site and recreated an event from the first Scout encampment in 1907 by attempting to negotiate their way, as a team, through a string maze that simulated a minefield. While the teams' failure was apparently indicated by a car horn that was triggered by disturbing a string, they discovered at the end that that had been a ruse and that the point of the event had really been not to break 27 eggs that had been buried just below the surface. Part 2 of the Brownsea Island Games was canceled when the schedule for Days Four and Five was rearranged.
