The Wall
This is the place where you can make your feelings heard (just don't be a jerk about it).
If you'd like to see something someone said in the last two months or so, you can check out the Wall Archives below:
If what you're looking for didn't show up, check out the Stacks, which basically allows you to look at everything that's ever been archived.
Check out what everyone else is saying:
E-mail addresses and names are not guaranteed to be who they say they are.
That being said, we should tell you that the webmaster can tell who said what.

I heard the same from Joe, plus they regraded the sled hill to try and aim it more into the southeast corner and they put a slight uphill grade on the runoff to make it harder to break bones on the fence. They've also recently painted the Museum and Baden Powell.
Who is your partner in historic crime?

I heard there's been a lot of work up front at D-A lately. Joe Retzback told me the Wyckoff Lodge / Friendship Center / Museum has had some trees and fences removed to improve the usability of the space. I'll report back next week. I'm going up there to work the museum this weekend.

I still have the knives but I ended up not going up to the Conclave due to the weather forecast. I, like Steve / Kristie / Doug, already experienced cutting trees in the rain. I didn't want to show anyone up by doing it in a thunderstorm.

Keith has the tree-trimming knives, so if you're there and want to help, I'm sure you'll be welcome.

There's an Ordeal weekend at D-A September 18-20. I'm not sure what this means, but the email from the Lodge Vice Chief of Activities says our chapter's theme is "Coconut." $20 for members. Less for Elangomats. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it.

Looks like there's a new background check type procedure that volunteers need to have when they come to camp. This website has instructions for how to get it done:

Here's another lodge service project that might be of interest. This is light on details, but I imagine they will make their way to the lodge website (michiganscouting.org/GreatLakes/OA):
Brothers of Noquet Lodge,
We need YOUR help!
This Labor Day, around 4-7 pm, Noquet Lodge will be helping to tear down fence and such for the Michigan State Fair. This doesn't sound all that exciting, but it is! It is exciting because it will make the lodge 2500 dollars! That money will be used to make Fall Fellowship a HUGE party!
We need 100 people to help, so invite yourself, invite your family, invite your friends! They don't have to be in scouts to help out the cause.
This is purely a save the date email, more information about location and such will be coming soon!
Can't wait to see you there!
YIS,
Noah Dabrowski

Me neither. I think a lot of adults ended up not going because of the attendance cap and tons of people signing up for the 100th.

From an email that went out to the lodge today. Let me know if you want more information.
All Arrowmen,
If you are available to assist with the repair of the Pines Shelter at Proud Lake recreation Area please help.
The shelter was heavily damaged in early June by a summer storm. Proud Lake is providing all new materials. Looking for Scout labor for CPT service hours ( either OA or Regular CPT hours).
Demolition starts Friday, July 17 at Noon to 4:30 PM; New construction starts on Saturday, July 18th at 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM estimate. New roof sheathing; side headers, under layment and shingles will be the project of the day. Bring hammers, pry bars, roofing removal tools gloves. Bring a sack lunch; beverages will be provided.
Call Dick Russell if you can help , even if for a half day or a few hours.
Yours in the Chief Pontiac Programs Committee
Richard (Dick) G Russell Jr.

Anyone going to the D-A Mix Fix? It's May 9. I think I'll miss it.
We had a group at the Mix Fix a few years ago and have talked about doing other projects since then. That said, I don't think it's come up too recently.
I don't see this on the council;s online calendar event description, but I think it's safe to assume it's an adult only event
